"Stripping first, reading rules, then de-virginization." This was the interesting order on Friday night as the Rocky Horror Picture Show Fan Club put on its annual performance of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show." As the huge crowd of more than 150 people filed in to watch, the feeling that most of them had never seen the show live filled the room. That accounted for the huge V's (for Virgin), used to mark those who have never seen the show before, on majority of people's foreheads. These people had no idea what to expect, and were probably more than shocked by what they witnessed. The night began with stripping. Three girls, already wearing very little clothing, danced to Irish jigs while stripping each other of clothing down to the thong and bra. The only thing missing was a pole or two. Next came the reading of the rules. If anyone would be offended by sex and sexually explicit comments, "Go the fuck home!" The last part was the anticipated de-virginization. Everyone with a V on their foreheads was made to stand in front of the crowd, turn so their backs would be facing the audience and finally bend over and shake their butts.

A select few were brought up on stage for a slightly more elaborate torture, "cherry-popping," which involved balloons and pins, and two weddings, boy/girl, and the ever expected threesome of boy/girl/girl, and they were asked to elicit their idea of a fake wedding night orgasm.

Finally, the actual movie was shown with people acting it out in front of the screen. Unfortunately, while the acting was good, most of the words were as inaudible as they were amusing. Obscenities were shouted mostly from the back of the room. I would like to commend the director, Leah Hagler '05, for choosing a great cast, although portraying the roles of Rocky, Dr. Frank 'n' Furter, and Brad as women.

Some aspects of the performance might have been confusing to the "virgins" of the audience. While Ariela Zonderman '04 has played the role of Dr. Frank 'n' Furter before, and did a great job of it, because there were two females instead of two males playing these lead roles, the show was confusing and did not fit well with the original storyline.

The best part of the night was to watch as all cast members on the sidelines made the entire audience get up to dance the "Time Warp." Yes, those poor virgins must have definitely felt as if they were in another dimension by the time they left the performance of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
