After a rookie season in which forward Tiffany Pacheco '11 finished third on the team in scoring with four goals and a team-leading nine assists, she came into this season feeling even more comfortable with the team. "This season I definitely feel more relaxed and more composed," Pacheco said. "I mean, I know the girls I'm playing with this year now, and I've had a year of experience, so I know what the competition is going to be like, so I prepare myself that way a lot better."

Such newfound comfort showed last week, as Pacheco scored two goals, including the game winner in a 1-0 win against Gordon College last Wednesday. She also scored in the Judges' 2-0 win over the University of Massachusetts at Boston last Saturday.

"It was surprising," Pacheco said of her performance this week. "I didn't expect to have a goal in each game, but if it happens, it happens, and I'm glad that it did happen."

For the season, Pacheco leads the team with three goals and six points. She has nine shots, giving her an impressive .333 shot percentage

This knack for scoring, particularly this season, has been noticed by her teammates as well.

"I think she's stepped up a lot from last year," captain and defender Meredith Milstein '09 said of Pacheco. "She's been a lot more aggressive, she's hungrier for goals, she's been shooting a lot better, and I feel like she's taking a leadership role on the team."

While Pacheco was satisfied with her rookie season, she still was looking to improve this year.

"Last year I think I did really well with assisting my teammates rather than scoring goals," Pacheco said. "But there's always room for improvement, and I hope this year that it will be better than last year and I can help my team even more than I did.
