Mike Posner and band Magic! will perform for Fall Concerts
As the new year of classes starts up, Brandeis students are already planning ways to wind down, starting with a stellar lineup for the annual Fall Concert Series. Sponsored by Student Events, the series will feature American pop and hip-hop performer Mike Posner and Canadian reggae-fusion band Magic!
While most students were in the middle of packing up and moving back to campus, Student Events broke the news of the Fall Concert lineup. They posted a YouTube video, which they shared on their Facebook page on Thursday, August 21, and was subsequently shared all over Facebook by returning Brandeis students.
Mike Posner is first on deck to perform, and will take over Usdan Student Center’s Levin Ballroom on Saturday, Sept. 20. According to the Brandeis Tickets website, tickets for the show will be on sale starting on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the box office in the Shapiro Campus Center.
Mike Posner previously performed on campus in February 2010 at the Student Events spring concert, which also benefitted the Haiti Relief Effort. Posner performed with Big Sean and special guest Tha Jist but will perform solo in his upcoming concert.
Advance ticket purchases will be five dollars for Brandeis students and $15 at the door. Each Brandeis student can buy two guest tickets so they can bring their friends along for the show. Students who save their ticket stubs from the Mike Posner concert can even get early access to ticket sales for the Magic! show. Magic! will be coming to campus later in the semester, on Nov. 16.
