Medical Emergency

Jan. 25—A staff member in the Gosman Sports and Recreation Center reported a party took a serious fall with a serious injury to their leg and requested an ambulance. The party was treated and transported via ambulance to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Jan. 27—University Police received a report of a party in a residence hall who jumped off a balcony and appeared to be injured. BEMCo and University Police responded, treated the party and transported the party to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Jan. 28—A party called to say he was coming to Stoneman to get checked out for a sore throat and wanted BEMCo to check him. After BEMCo staff treated the party on site, University Police transported the party to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Jan. 28—University Police received a report of a party in Ridgewood Quad complaining of a possible kidney stone, with similar prior history. The party was treated on site by BEMCo with a signed refusal for further care.

Jan. 29—University Police received a report of a party who got hot oil on their face while cooking in the Charles River apartments. University Police and BEMCo responded, and the party was treated on scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Jan. 29—University Police and BEMCo responded to a party off campus who slipped and fell on ice, striking their head and back. The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Jan. 29—University Police received a call of a party in Gosman who injured their head playing basketball. University Police and BEMCo responded and treated the party on scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Jan. 30—University Police and BEMCo responded to a call of a party in the Shapiro Science Center who was complaining of stomach pain. The party was treated on site by BEMCo and transported by University Police to the Golding Health Center for further care.

Feb. 1—University Police received a call of a party in Shapiro Residence Hall possibly intoxicated and vomiting. University Police and BEMCo responded and found the party unconscious. 

The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Feb. 1—University Police received a complaint of an intoxicated party who was conscious and alert. University Police and BEMCo responded and treated the party on site. The party was transported to Newton-Wellseley Hospital for further care by Cataldo ambulance.

Drugs

Jan. 28—University Police received a report stating the odor of marijuana was present in Ridgewood Quad. University Police notified the community development coordinator and remained present while the situation was handled.

Larceny

Jan. 25—University Police received a report of a whiteboard that had been disassembled and stolen from a common area in Shapiro Residence Hall. University Police complied a report on the incident.

Other

Jan. 28—University Police received a report of a male with a blue T-shirt approximately 20 to 30 years of age talking to himself and causing a scene. 

University Police located the party and discovered him practicing his lines for a theater play. Police took no further action.

Jan. 31— Police received a call for loud noise in Shapiro Residence Hall. Officers advised the residents to lower the noise, and they complied without incident.
