Medical Emergency
Mar. 23—A party in Ziv Quad reported something was stuck on the bottom of their foot. BEMCo treated the party on the scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Mar. 25—University Police received a report of a party in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center who hurt their foot. University Police notified BEMCo, who treated the party on the scene. The party was then transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital by University Police.
Mar. 25—A party in Rosenthal Quad reported that they fell off their skateboard and cut themselves. University Police and BEMCo responded and requested Cataldo ambulance, but the party refused transport by ambulance and was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care by University Police.
Mar. 27—University Police received a call of an intoxicated party in a men’s bathroom in North Quad conscious but confused. University Police and BEMCo responded and treated the party on the scene. The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care by Cataldo ambulance.
Mar. 27—Police received a call from a party in East Quad reporting they had facial lacerations. BEMCo treated the party on the scene and requested an ambulance to transport the party to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.
Mar. 28—A party in East Quad reported injuring their toe seven hours prior and was treated by BEMCo with a signed refusal for further care.
Disturbance
Mar. 24—Police received a call from a party in the Usdan Student Center claiming they have a No Contact Order against another person in the area. Upon the police arriving in the area, the other person had left, and police took no further action.
Mar. 29—A shuttle van driver for Joseph’s Transportation requested assistance dealing with intoxicated students on the shuttle who were threatening the driver. University Police intercepted the van at the main entrance to the campus. Police compiled a report on the incident after written statements were obtained.
Mar. 29—A party in the Charles River Apartments requested assistance with a noise complaint, citing an ongoing issue. The parties responsible for the noise were spoken to by the Community Development Coordinator and University Police took no further action.
Other
Mar. 24—Police received a report of a party on the sidewalk outside the Usdan Student Center playing guitar for money. Police advised the party to contact Student Life for permission to continue playing guitar. The party departed the area without incident.
Mar. 26—Police received a report of a suspicious person roaming outside of the Goldfarb Library. University Police identified the subject and escorted them off campus with a verbal warning not to trespass again.
Mar. 27—A party reported someone screaming outside the Foster Mods. University Police checked the area and were unable to find anything.
Mar. 27—A party arrived at police dispatch to report a suspicious figure inside of the Goldsmith Building. University Police checked the building and found the suspect inside and found no affiliation to the University after checking the people search and master file name.
The suspect was placed under arrest for trespassing and transported to Waltham Police Department for booking.
