Medical Emergency

Sept. 6—a party in Cable Hall reported that she may be having an allergic reaction. University Police and BEMCo staff treated the party on scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Sept. 7—University Police arrived in the Athletic Staff Lot to disperse a large group of people and requested BEMCo to evaluate an intoxicated male student. The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital via Cataldo ambulance and the Area Coordinator on call was advised.

Sept. 7—A party reported that she twisted her ankle near the Shapiro Campus Center. University Police and BEMCo responded, and the party was treated on scene by BEMCo with a signed refusal for further care.

Sept. 8—Massachusetts State Police reported to University Police that they received a 911 call about a student in Ziv Quad going into anaphylactic shock from a nut allergy. The Massachusetts State Police notified the Waltham Fire Department, and the party was treated on scene by medical staff and transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Sept. 9—a caller from Usdan Student Center reported a female party with severe stomach pain. University Police and BEMCo responded. The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital via Cataldo Ambulance, and Department of Community Living staff was advised.

Sept. 10—A party in Deroy Hall reported that their legs were very itchy from bug bites. BEMCo treated the party on scene and the party was then transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital via University Police cruiser for further care.

Sept. 10—A caller requested BEMCo for a party in Cable Hall feeling ill. University Police and BEMCo staff responded, and BEMCo staff treated the party on scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Sept. 10—A party in Usdan Student Center reported that she had possibly broken her foot. University Police and BEMCo staff responded, and the party was treated on scene by BEMCo with a signed refusal for further care.

Larceny

Sept. 8—A staff member in Ridgewood C residence hall reported the theft of chairs from the common area. University Police investigated and found that the chairs were borrowed for an event and would be returned after and decided to take no further action.

Sept. 11—A party in the Stoneman building reported identity theft via SAGE account. University Police compiled a report and notified Library and Technology Services. LTS handled further security measures for the party’s account.

Disturbance

Sept. 6—A Waltham resident called to report loud music coming from 110 Angleside Road. University Police advised the students to turn down the music, and the students complied without incident.

Sept. 7—A Community Advisor for the Foster Mods requested University Police assistance in dispersing an unauthorized gathering of approximately 100 people in the lower Mods. All available University Police officers responded, the on call Area Coordinator was notified and responded, and the group was dispersed without incident.

Miscellaneous

Sept. 12—A Sodexo staff member called to report a raccoon within the loading dock area of Usdan Student Center. The animal was gone by the time University Police arrived.
