Teams earn three top-three finishes
■ Emily Bryson ’19 slipped into third place with a 4:38.14 finish in the 1500-meter dash.

The No. 28 men’s tennis team rolled over the United States Coast Guard Academy in an 8-1 victory on Saturday in New London, CT, sweeping the doubles courts and taking all but the No. 6 singles court match in the process. The Judges move to 4-3 on the year with the win, having recorded three straight wins that began with a win over University Athletic Association opponent New York University on Mar.
■ Pitcher Melissa Soleimani ’17 controlled the tempo and let up just one run in relief during a close win over Clark University.
Ryan Bunis ’17 took a two-set win on the No. 2 court in a 7-2 team win against New York University.
The men and women’s track and field team saw two runners finish in 12th place at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships last weekend, with Ryan Stender ’18 and Emily Bryson ’19 racing for their respective squads. Stender represented the Judges in the men’s 3,000-meter race on Saturday afternoon as the 12th seed at the meet after recording the 14th-best time during the indoor season.
Arthur “Bud” Collins, the first tennis coach in Brandeis’ history and a respected member of the Brandeis Hall of Fame, passed away at the age of 86 on Friday. His death was first announced by his wife, Anita Ruthling Klaussen, on her personal Facebook page, according to his obituary in the New York Times. Collins coached the tennis team from 1959 to 1963 and guided the team to its first undefeated season in 1959, when the team went 7-0.
