With three home doubleheaders this past week, the softball team did not fall short in providing excitement. Despite falling to Eastern Connecticut State University in its first game of Sunday's doubleheader by a score of 3-0, the second game told a much different tale, as the Judges dominated the visiting Warriors.
The excitement began in the bottom of the seventh inning when Judges starting pitcher Melissa Nolan '14 whacked a leadoff single straight up the middle.

* Though the men's and women's swimming and diving teams have experienced their growing pains, the squads took a step in the right direction last weekend in their meet at Trinity College. * "As a team, we rallied together," said David Lazarovich '16, who placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke.
The Judges finished their seven-game span of home games last Sunday, and after a strong start in which they won four of their first five games, they lost their last two against University Athletic Association opponents Case Western University and Carnegie Mellon University. The Judges' contest against Case on Sunday proved an outing where they were punished for allowing the visitors too much respect in the early going.
The women's basketball squad has succeeded when the offense has gained momentum. In the Judges' victories this year, the squads have tallied 89, 50 and 71 points.
