AMC's 'Mad Men' returns to 1966

Mad Men is back. For those of you who haven't been keeping track, Sunday night was the season five premiere of AMC's critically acclaimed drama, finally bringing the series' year-and-a-half-long hiatus to an end as Don Draper and the rest of his gang returned to prime time. At the end of the show's last season, fans were left wondering if they would ever see their beloved characters again.

University plans inauguration for Lawrence

On Saturday, Jan. 1, Frederick Lawrence began serving as the University's eighth president ahead of his inauguration, which will take place Thursday, March 31 in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center.When asked to describe his first week as University president, Lawrence wrote, "Hectic, inspiring, gratifying and humbling all come to mind." Trustees honor Reinharz upon his departure

A new scholarship and an endowed directorship of the Mandel Center for the Humanities have been created in University President Jehuda Reinharz's name as he ends his tenure in that role, according to a BrandeisNOW press release published yesterday.The scholarship was a gift from the Board of Trustees, and the Jacobson Family Foundation, which according to Portfolio.com is a foundation that "concentrates on Massachusetts charities," funded the directorship, according to BrandeisNOW.
