INDOOR TRACK: Sax, Alford lead women's squad to a home victory

As fans shuffled in and out of the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center last Saturday, the women's indoor track team was ensuring those cheering for them would leave happy. Led by multiple event wins from jumper Ali Sax '09 and captain sprinter Olivia Alford '08, the women's team finished first out of 10 teams at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational with 183.5 points, 56.5 points better than second-place Amherst College.


VOLLEYBALL: Judges sweep opponents to repeat as champions

One week after seeing its NCAA Tournament chances fade away, the volleyball team rebounded to seize the one tournament it already knew how to win.The Judges defended their Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Division III title last weekend, sweeping three consecutive teams.


VOLLEYBALL: Squad finishes in fourth

It was a weekend of highs and lows for the volleyball team at the Hall of Fame Tournament. The Judges reached the semifinals of the event for the first time in school history, but after two close losses in rematches against Williams College and Tufts University Saturday, they were forced to settle for fourth place.Brandeis is now 20-8 this season following Friday's victories over Colby College and host Amherst College.


VOLLEYBALL: Led by Blasco, Judges go 4-0

Abby Blasco '11 has emerged as the main distributor on the volleyball team this season, but in the championship match of last weekend's Midcoast Classic against the University of New England, she showed off her versatility and provided a glimpse into Judges' bright future.Blasco finished just shy of a triple-double with 35 assists, 11 digs and eight service aces as the volleyball team defeated the Nor'easters 3-0 to cap a dominating 4-0 weekend.
