Sodexo announces meal plan options

Jay DeGioia, resident district manager for Sodexo, sent out an email last Friday to the student body that elucidated the changes to meal plan structures that Sodexo will implement in fall 2014.


University to address allergen issues

Brandeis recently began initial stages of becoming involved with the Food Allergy Research and Education's college program to improve food allergy awareness and accommodations, according Class of 2017 Senator and Chair of the Senate Dining Committee David Heaton.


Sodexo aims to improve Stein

Over winter break, the University plans to begin remodeling The Stein restaurant. Though plans have not yet left the early stages, with blueprints unfinished and timelines unclear, the University expects the Stein to reopen for students during the spring semester. Jay DeGioia, Sodexo's resident district manager for Brandeis, wrote in an email to the Justice that The Stein closed just before Thanksgiving in anticipation of remodeling and construction, which Sodexo hopes to begin in early January and which DeGioia estimated could take three to six weeks.


Kosher deli will replace Quiznos

Corrections appended. By the beginning of the spring 2014 semester, Sodexo hopes to replace the Quiznos in Upper Usdan with a New York-style, kosher delicatessen, according to Jay DeGioia, Sodexo's resident district manager for Brandeis. DeGioia said in an interview with the Justice that Sodexo began implementing early steps in plans for renovating the space last week, bringing in architects to assess plumbing and electricity.
